Cleanroom Usage Instructions

The Center shares the cleanroom and membership management system with the Nanoelectromechanical Systems Research Center (NEMS). Cleanroom access control is managed by NEMS, and all users must comply with the regulations established by NEMS.

Ÿ   After completing the laboratory safety training course and submitting the signed user agreement, users must, within six months from the completion date of the safety training, personally bring their EasyCard (with IC function) along with the copy of the signed user agreement retained by the Center to NEMS for access activation. Users must also upload valid NTU Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Certificates A and B. Failure to complete this process within six months will result in denial of access authorization, and users will be required to retake the general cleanroom training course.

Ÿ   If you fail to activate your access card within the specified period or have not entered the cleanroom for over one year, you must retake the general cleanroom training course before resuming cleanroom use to ensure your safety.

Ÿ   If a user wishes to change the payer, please first notify the Center staff and provide the new payer’s basic information, and resubmit the signed user agreement. The Center will then send a confirmation email to the new payer. Until the Center receives a reply from the new payer confirming consent, the user’s cleanroom access will be temporarily suspended.

Ÿ   All individuals entering the cleanroom, regardless of gender, must wear a sleeved top, long pants, and socks. Those who fail to comply with the dress code will not be permitted to enter the cleanroom.
